FIFA World Cup Trophy lands in Nepal

FIFA world cup trophy in Nepal Good news for all the football lovers and FIFA lovers. The first time in the history of Nepal FIFA World Cup Trophy landed in Nepal. The trophy was in the Kathmandu and was showed on Saturday. The trophy came on Saturday morning from Bhutan by a special jet. Due to poor weather condition the FIFA aircraft landed two hour delay at 11:50 am at TIA (Tribhuwan Internation Airport).
With the high security arrangement the more desirable trophy of 6.175kg 18 C gold was unveiled at Dasharath Stadium by President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav. The trophy is 36.8cm high. Mr President said that the arrival of the trophy has the special day for Nepal. He also thanked the organizers. On this occasion many officials were present.
Security bodies chiefs, Ram Kumar Shrestha (sports minister), Lilamani Paudel (chief secretary), Ganesh Thapa (ANFA President), Yubaraj Lama (National Sports Council Member Secretary) were present on the stadium. FIFA has planned to take the trophy to 90 different countries before reaching Brazil. The 2014 World Cup is going to be held in Brazil. In this tour Nepal is 51st countries to see the trophy. The symbol of football was brought to Nepal by all Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the partnership of Coca-Cola Company with FIFA. Many football lovers came to the stadium to see the trophy and it was until 6 pm in the stadium. The trophy would now be going to Calcutta, India on tomorrow morning.
